Which Ruff Ruff Ranch™ Pathway Fits Your Dog?

A brain-first quiz to help families choose the right starting point for their dog's training, development, bonding, nutrition, role, or support.

Not every dog needs the same first step. Some dogs need a calm beginning. Some puppies need safe socialization and confidence. Some families need a simple seven-minute rhythm. Some dogs need a deeper 15-minute daily development plan. Some dogs need nutrition support, service or therapy role education, guardian home guidance, or personal help before choosing.

This quiz helps families slow down, understand what their dog may need right now, and choose a better starting pathway.

This is not a pass-or-fail test. It is a starting point. Choose the answers that sound most like your dog and your family right now.
1. Where is your dog right now?
2. What is your biggest concern right now?
3. What kind of help feels most realistic right now?
4. What best describes your dog?
5. What result are you hoping for?

Answer all five questions to see your starting pathway.

Find Your Best Starting Pathway

Mostly A → The First 72 Hours Program™ · Mostly B → Platinum Puppy™ · Mostly C → The Successful Seven™ · Mostly D → The Brain First Fifteen™ · Mostly E → Build the Bowl™ · Mostly F → Lewis & Clark Therapy/Service Dogs™ · Mostly G → Breeder / Guardian Home / Crown & Collar · Any H → Ask Ruff Ruff Ranch™ first.

The First 72 Hours Program™

Choose this pathway if your puppy or dog is coming home soon, just came home, or is still in the first transition period. This pathway focuses on safety, settling, rest, food transition awareness, stress signs, bonding, routines, and a calm brain-first beginning.

After the first 72 hours, many families move into either The Successful Seven™ or The Brain First Fifteen™.

Platinum Puppy™ Development & Socialization Support

Choose this pathway if your puppy needs help with safe socialization, confidence, handling, early learning, bite inhibition, crate comfort, potty routines, body awareness, and age-appropriate development.

The Successful Seven™

Choose this pathway if you need a simple, realistic starting point. The Successful Seven™ is a seven-minute-a-day, seven-week brain-first rhythm built around seven foundations: settle, see, connect, focus, think, move, and recover.

The Brain First Fifteen™

Choose this pathway if your dog needs deeper daily support. The Brain First Fifteen™ gives families 15 intentional minutes a day to bond, develop, nourish, guide, observe, and understand the dog in front of them.

Build the Bowl™ / The Loved Dog™ Nutrition Pathway

Choose this pathway if your answers point toward food transition, digestion, stool changes, appetite, growth, body condition, or whole-dog nourishment. This pathway connects families to Build the Bowl™ nutrition education and The Loved Dog™ resources.

Nutrition education does not replace veterinary care when medical symptoms, illness, severe digestive upset, weight loss, pain, or urgent concerns are present.

Lewis & Clark Therapy/Service Dogs™ Role Pathway

Choose this pathway if you are wondering whether your dog may be best understood as a companion, therapy dog prospect, service dog prospect, public-access candidate, career-change dog, or beloved family support dog.

Educational only. This does not determine legal service-dog status, disability status, medical need, certification, or public-access readiness.

Breeder, Guardian Home & Crown & Collar Pathway

Choose this pathway if you are a breeder, guardian home, puppy family, youth learner, or program family needing education, structure, documentation, development support, or future recognition pathways.

Ask Before Choosing

Choose this pathway if your dog is showing aggression, severe fear, panic, medical symptoms, dangerous behavior, major distress, sudden behavior change, or if you are not sure which program is safe or appropriate.

How These Pathways Work Together

These pathways are not meant to trap families in one box. Many dogs move through more than one pathway.

A new puppy may begin with The First 72 Hours Program™, then move into The Successful Seven™ or The Brain First Fifteen™.

A puppy with confidence needs may use Platinum Puppy™ support and then continue into Brain First training.

A dog with food transition or nourishment needs may also need Build the Bowl™ education.

A future therapy or service dog prospect still needs foundation, confidence, calmness, health, and relationship before role decisions are clear.

A breeder or guardian home may need puppy development, nutrition education, family support, and later Crown & Collar recognition pathways.

Start With the Right First Step

The goal is not to do everything at once. The goal is to choose the right beginning for the dog in front of you.
