Privacy Policy

Families trust us with information about themselves and their dogs. This page explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.

Last updated: July 27, 2026

The short version

We collect only what we need to answer your inquiry, fulfill your order, or support your dog. We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade your contact details, and we do not share your information with advertisers.

Information you give us

  • Contact details — name, email address, phone number, and mailing or shipping address.
  • Intake and application information — household details, prior dog experience, goals, and the pathway you are exploring.
  • Dog information — name, breed, age, weight, feeding history, behavior notes, and health or wellness notes you choose to record.
  • Order information — items ordered, order totals, delivery address, and fulfillment status.
  • Account information — if you create a member account, your sign-in email and the profile details you add.
  • Messages — anything you send us through a form, email, or phone call, and our replies.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, which is used to keep the site secure and reliable. We use this in aggregate to understand which pages are helpful. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Payment information

We never see or store your full card number. Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers on their own secure systems. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference number so we can match it to your order or donation.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and guide you to the right pathway
  • To process, fulfill, and ship your order, and to send order status updates
  • To provide feeding, training, and wellness guidance you have asked for
  • To process and acknowledge donations and sponsorships
  • To maintain your member account and order history
  • To improve our programs, education, and this website
  • To meet legal, tax, food-safety, and recordkeeping obligations

When we share information

We share personal information only in these situations:

  • Service providers who operate on our behalf — hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing, and shipping carriers. They may use your information only to perform that service for us.
  • Suppliers and fulfillment partners when your order must be shipped directly to you, limited to what is needed to deliver it.
  • Referral partners only when you have specifically asked us to connect you with a breeder, trainer, veterinarian, or program.
  • Legal requirements when we are required to respond to a lawful request or must protect the safety of a person or animal.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How we protect information

Data is stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security, so records are visible only to the account that owns them and to authorized staff. Administrative actions are logged. Access is limited by role, and sensitive records such as accountant and financial data are restricted to administrators.

No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we treat your family's and your dog's information as private by default.

How long we keep information

We keep intake, order, donation, and account records for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy tax, food-safety, and recordkeeping obligations. You may ask us to delete information that we are not required to retain.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep
  • Ask us to stop contacting you, or unsubscribe from any email we send
  • Ask for a copy of the information you provided

To make any of these requests, email us. We will confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally.
